Miami Valley Home Improvement Show

 Imagining more possibilities for your home? Make them happen at the 2008 Miami Valley Home Improvement Show. The award-winning show returns with all the exhibits, seminars and special features that the Miami Valley has come to expect. Patrons can visit with home improvement specialists at over 120 displays, attend free seminars and do-it-yourself demonstrations. Four impressive landscaping feature areas will give a preview of the blossoms and foliage to come. Admission is only $6.00 for adults, free for kids under the age of 15. Parking is free. Home World 2006
Home World 2006 is the Premier Home Show in the Miami Valley and will take place at the Dayton Exhibition Center, Dayton International Airport, 3900 MCclauley Drive, Vandalia, Ohio (driving directions).
 World Threads' embroidery "paintings" have been such a hit with our exhibition audiences that we decided to take on a second home show to exhibit these fine pieces of art to the public. We will also be exhibiting the Laos silk scarves as wall hangings and demonstrate how they can be used in other ways as an item of home decor.

Ticket prices for HomeWorld 2006 are $7.00 per adult with children under 12 years of age free. Tickets will be available during show hours at the front entrance of the Expo Center.

Depart for Bangkok - World Threads Shop Will Remain Open.
We will be departing for Bangkok on a buying trip for World Threads' Summer and Fall ladies' fashion items. We will be traveling into the up-scale wholesale clothing markets in Seoul, Korea. We will also be perusing the wholesale clothing markets in Bangkok for clothing, jewelry and related items. The new thread artists that we have met in Vietnam promise to have many of the pictures that we sent them to embroidery ready for our inspecton and purchase. Lisa will remain in charge of the shop which will be open the entire time. We shall be returning on May 6, but in the meantime both sea and air cargo shipment will be arriving at the World Threads'Boutique and Gallery.

Champaign County Fair

 World Threads has been invited to be a merchant exhibitor at the Champaign County Fair. We will have an ever-changing display that feature our new shipment of Embroidery Paintings that we purchased in May. If you can't come to our boutique, this is a chance to see this beautiful form of artwork. We will be on hand to explain the artistic method, as well as the location and history of this art form. We will also be exhiting and selling dozens of handmade scarves and other treasures from our latest sojourn into Asia. World Threads exhibition and sales booth will be located in the Merchants' Building.

The Greatest County Fair in the World features a huge midway, numerous 4-H activities, free entertainment, harness racing, a demolition derby, tractor pull, motorcycle races and much more during its nine-day run starting the third Friday of August each year. Autumn Buying Trip
Depart for Bangkok - World Threads Shop Will Remain Open
We will be departing for Bangkok for our Asian Buying trip in search of items for our winter and spring collection of ladies' clothing and accessories. We will also be visiting the embroidery artist in Vietnam fo pick up our last order of embroidery pictures, and to place additional orders. Laos will also be on the agenda to acquire more of the hand-loomed scarves. Our newest adventure this year will be to travel into Bhutan to add new and different treasurers to our collection.
